Highly recommended to all physicians, irrespective of their speciality. As Dr Moore said, we had not a smidge of training at medical school.
Distasteful introduction with the euro golf club.
Dr Allan is great
thank you
I felt the doctor was completely steamrolled and overruled by the pharmacist, as opposed to it being a team approach.
I was dissatisfied for two reasons. 1. As I stated above, I am left unsure what to do about patients who continue to use opioids. 2. Really??? Leave the patient in the waiting room full of other patients who are their friends, family, clients etc to undergo withdrawals and report back to me in an hour? This is so unrealistic and dehumanizing. OK there is 3. With new diabetics, I absolutely do have many conversations where I say they might get off meds at some point because it’s true. Poor analogy. Is she really saying that her patients who want to come off opioids are doomed to be Suboxone patients forever? Because the analogy to diabetes does not hold up; many many new diabetics make lifestyle changes and get off meds or never even start them.

throat clearing: The answer is :refer to an Allergist. The diagnosis is post-nasal drip allergy.
Several concepts changed !!! Very useful
Excellent summary and very relevant topics.
learned a few things I was unaware of previously, always a marker of a good talk
Some discrepancies in management between speakers, which speaks to lack of data out there
Great speakers.
obviously a rapidly evolving field, constant updated course material is needed…
Outdated info

This is the best presentation I have seen yet, kudos to Tina!!
i don’t know who reads these comments, but I did notice that when PAP test screening was pushed to a later age that chlamydia rates went through the roof. If family doctors are not encouraged to do a vaginal exam it seems they ignore the whole area.

Excellent talk – very relevant to primary care. Humourous research slides were quite fun!
There were a couple of brand names mentioned by Dr. Morisette. No mention about risk of breast ca and hormone treatment.
Interesting that the CFPC highly recommends studies which are not funded by industry–does this apply to its recommendations for the COVID vaccine?

Excellent presentation and very relevant to family medicine
Excellent talk.
To be clear, the speakers were good. I just think our entire profession (GPs) don’t talk enough about weight/resistance training and mobility training and I think this is a key factor in our patients’ health.
Additional topic-management of short and long term post op issues after gender reassignment/transitional surgery

Big question breast cancer screening on TF, since there is debate on screen in cis women for over investigation, the risk benefits in the context of a low prevalence must not be good…

The FRAX assessment tool by the CTFPHC could be even better if they included the number of people per 100 that would be harmed by medication and if they included the benefits of exercise, Vit D, and Calcium even if these are zero or unknown
